Our Hudson Destination Imagination Program
Since 1999, kids from kindergarten through 12th grade in the Hudson School District have been able to participate in Destination Imagination, the worlds largest international creative problem solving program (over 250,000 kids from 50 states and 40 countries).  From a starting point of just a handful of kids, our program has grown to average over 20 teams and more than 100 kids annually (and we'd love to have more!).

At the beginning of each school year, DI comes out with new challenges for teams to choose from.  Teams up to 7 kids form within three age levels (elementary, middle, and high school) and choose one of the challenges to work on.  Teams then work for 3 to 6 months and present their solutions at Regional tournaments across the state.  Teams also compete in Instant Challenges at each tournament which test the team's immediate creative problem solving skills.  From there, teams may qualify to go onto the State tournament in April.  The year culminates in a global competition in May for those teams that win their state or country tournaments.  Hudson DI has had teams qualify for global competition for six straight years and have won 5 global championships.

One of the unique traits of DI is that these solutions are entirely imagined, created, and presented by the kids.  There is no adult interference.   Also, every child in DI participates.  So if you would like to learn more about this amazing and fun opportunity for your child, please click on any of the links below or explore the rest of this website.  We would love to have your child and you join Hudson DI!
